About Me

In addition to work, I’m a mom to two neurodiverse teenagers.  Parenting neurodiverse children has shaped me both personally and professionally, deepening the empathy, understanding, patience, and creativity I bring to the therapy space.  Our home is shared with three affectionate (and occasionally mischievous) cats—Hack, Mac, and Pepper-Lilac—who add plenty of personality to daily life.

Outside of work, I love to travel, explore new places, go to concerts, and spend quiet moments reading with a warm cup of coffee or tea in hand. These simple joys help me stay grounded and present, which in turn enriches my work with clients.

  • As a counselor, I work with individuals coping with various concerns related to neurodiversity, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, PTSD/ complex trauma, caregiver concerns, relationship issues, parenting struggles, communication skills, and general life dissatisfaction.  I work with parents and caregivers to develop parenting skills and plans for children that may be neurodiverse or may require additional support. My approach is collaborative, empowering, and centered on respect for your unique experiences and strengths.  My work is rooted in a trauma-informed, mind–body approach that honors your nervous system, personal history, and inner strengths. I integrate Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), play therapy principles, client-centered therapy, and EMDR to create a treatment experience tailored to your needs.

I have a background in the Developmental, Individual-difference, Relationship-based (DIR) model, which deepens my understanding of emotional development and supports my work with neurodiverse clients of all ages. I am also Level 2 Certified in Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) through PDA North America, equipping me with specialized insights and strategies for individuals who resonate with PDA profiles.

No matter your goals, we will move at your pace and build a therapeutic relationship based on trust, understanding, and genuine connection.
